Pennywell-based charity Hope 4 Kidz have spent £55,000 on improving the lives of local children in just under two years since their launch, they revealed this week.

Speaking at this month’s Sunderland East Area Forum public meeting, Chief Executive Vivien Watts told how over 1,200 gifts had been donated to the charity since their establishment in May 2007.

But, she said, the future work of Hope 4 Kidz largely depends on the generosity of such donations.

Watts also emphasised that if anyone knows of an under-18-year-old (or under-25 in ‘extreme circumstances’) that might benefit from the work of Hope 4 Kidz to get in touch and fill out a beneficiary application form, which can be downloaded here.

Details of how to contact the tireless charity can be found on their website contact page.
