Looking for a job in Sunderland? You might want to get to tomorrow’s Employment Focused Meeting, hosted by the Sunderland South Forum.
The event, to be held at Holy Rosary Church Hall, Abercorn Road, [Click here for map] looks to bring together both employers and those looking for work in the Sunderland South area.
Among the list of speakers will be Tracey Bramley from People Into Employment, Lisa Hunter from the Job Start Mentoring Project from the Jubilee Centre, Judith Dunn from Etec, and Kayleigh Cummings from Enterprising Futures.
Lorna Lister, Administrative Officer for the Forum, said: “Anybody can turn up, some people who want to come can bring information and have it as a bit of a networking event as well, that’s fine.
“Anybody can come along, you don’t have to be a member of the Forum to come along and join in, but it’s a good way of finding out what’s going on in the area, and also especially if you’re wanting to know about employment in the area and what services and providers are in the area then it’s a great opportunity.”
Sunderland South Forum host monthly events with a focus on different themes each time, Lorna said: “The next meeting after the November one is on the 9th of December, and there’s a lady coming from Children’s Centres to that one, and there’s a big St. Cuthbert’s Care bonanza bus.”
The meeting starts at 1pm, with a buffet open from 12.30pm.
