Goku Superman ScrewAttack

Eh. I really dislike the whole entire thing. These two don't even abide by the same rules or physics really-Goku couldn't possibly be a true hero in the DCU sense, and putting Supes in Goku's world is even more messed up. But to clear this up:

-Superman Prime is based off of a worst-nightmare version of Supes: a version of Superman from a varietal of OUR world who was as powerful as Silver Age Superman (the most over-powered and broken Superman EVER-this was the guy who routinely pushed planets around by hand) and then some. And he was also a villain last time I checked (granted, that was pre-Flashpoint). He had ALL of the broken over-powered nature of Silver Age Supes and almost NONE of the weaknesses-he could ONLY be hurt by a) his own SPECIFIC form of kryptonite, from a universe that no longer existed, or b) having the ENTIRE DCU attack him at night when his powers were weakest.

-It would seem that post-Flashpoint, that Superman has somehow become very much like Prime in terms of being "whatever power level the editors demand".

-Goku has the same issue going on, exactly: his power is whatever the writers and editors say it is, and he wins by virtue of "being the good guy" as often as not.

-And for all that? Screwattack really probably didn't mention two simple things. A) Goku does NOT have actual super-speed. He flies, yes, and teleports (instant transmission) but does not, strictly, move with accelerated speed of your "faster than a speeding bullet" sort. He can't-anime frame rates don't ALLOW it. And.B) Heat Vision. It happens at the speed of light, no screaming or explosions required. It happens INSTANTLY.

Meaning, in an actual fight against someone who WOULD actually kill him (read: General Zod)? Goku starts to power up, gets incinerated. REPEATEDLY. Zod gets bored with the respawn rate and sends his loyal troops AFTER Goku by flying OUT to wherever he normally shows up, and since they HAVE super-speed, they get there first. Incinerating him there.

Lather, rinse, repeat, until every known planet in the universe has a pile of ashes somewhere on it attempting to scream that kamehameha crap.

In layman's terms, fan people are obsessive and will rig the fight any way they see fit to. Pay enough attention, and you can figure out how to make Mr. Satan beat Superman-or how to make Supergirl beat Son Goku. It's not hard.
